Our Wedding
When we thought about our wedding day, the days leading up to it and the days following we knew we wanted to be with the people closest to us. Those we consider our community, those that we love to eat good food and drink beer and cider with, those whose kids make us laugh and show us how to play, those who truly know us as individuals and as a couple. We have worked hard to make sure our wedding has this communal feel - our photographer is a dear friend and his wife is in the bridal party. They photographed a dear friend's wedding who is also in the bridal party and her son is in it too! Courtney's dress is being handmade in NYC, which is also where her 1940's vintage engagement ring that Nate found was made and where she is from. The bridal party's jewelry is being handmade by a local Seattle artist who is our favorite barista! The amazing woman presiding over our wedding is one of Courtney's best friends and when she and Nate met they hit it off, they could talk philosophy over beer for days. Our hope is to create an experience up in the islands where by the time the wedding comes you have familiarity with those that are in your presence.
We have created a registry, however we know coming to a destination wedding costs extra so PLEASE know your presence is your gift to us!
